Taking inspiration from Damien Hirst's Spin Paintings, these were related to my work on connections between sound, colour and movement. In the first set of photos, the slow shutter speed of the camera blends the colours together which creates the illusion that the paint is still spinning. The paintings I did on Perspex became sculptural and let the patterns that the paint created stand away from the surface, becoming an shape on their own. This project became a gateway to a fascination I had with dripping and pouring paint.
